Terms & Conditions

The booking terms that apply to all Tambaa na Pori Safaris tours and services.

Book with confidence. We know booking a safari can be as exciting as it is nerve-wracking. The terms below explain who we are and how bookings, payments and cancellations are handled, so you can plan with complete peace of mind. The booking

Bookings and subsequent contracts are deemed to have been concluded in Arusha, Tanzania and are interpreted according to the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. The Company reserves the right to decline any booking without stating a reason.

Deposit & payment

  • A 30% deposit is required to secure a booking and forms part of the total trip payment.
  • If the full balance is not paid at least four (4) weeks before departure, the Company may treat the booking as cancelled and the deposit may be forfeited.
  • Clients booking within four (4) weeks of departure must pay the full amount immediately to secure the reservation.
  • All bank charges and transaction fees are settled by the client. The invoiced amount is the amount that must reflect in our account.

Booking amendments

For amendments to an existing booking (departure dates, flights, accommodation, number of participants, etc.) a handling fee of USD 50 per booking applies, in addition to any service-provider fees.

Cancellation & refund policy

You may cancel at any time before departure. Notice must be received in writing (email is fine); the effective date is the date we receive your notice. Cancellation charges, as a percentage of the total trip cost, are:

Should the Company need to cancel a tour in unavoidable circumstances, all monies already paid will be refunded. This is the Company’s sole liability and no further claim for damages shall accrue.

Passports, visas & travel papers

It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure passports, visas, health certificates, proof of vaccinations and any other required documents are in order for the countries visited. The Company cannot be held liable for any consequences arising from incorrect or missing documentation.

Baggage

All baggage and personal effects remain the client’s responsibility at all times, and the Company accepts no liability for loss or damage. Clients are entitled to one soft bag of no more than 15 kg (no hard suitcases) plus a daypack. Different limits may apply on light “bush” flights.

Risk

All tours are adventurous in nature and carry an element of personal risk. Neither the Company nor its agents can be held liable for any injury, loss of life or damage to property, howsoever caused. The client accepts full responsibility for all risks involved and indemnifies the Company accordingly.

Authority on tour

The decisions of the Company’s guide or driver on tour are final and binding. Clients must comply with the laws, customs and foreign-exchange regulations of all countries visited.

Marketing

The Company may use photographs and videos taken during tours for marketing purposes. By booking, the client consents to such use and authorises the Company to retain copyright in this material.

Force majeure

Unforeseen circumstances beyond the Company’s control - including war, mechanical breakdown, weather, or civil unrest - may cause delays or alterations. The Company shall not be held liable for these occurrences or their consequences.

Price changes

All prices are based on current national-park fees and taxes. Should the authorities increase fees or taxes, these increases may be passed on to the client.
