2 Days Masai Mara Safari

2 DaysSafariKenya

Two days in Kenya's most famous reserve. The Masai Mara holds an exceptional density of lion, wildebeest and zebra, alongside giraffe, elephant, hippo and crocodile.

You set off early for the drive across the Rift Valley and spend both days on game drives over the Mara's rolling grassland. In season you visit the Mara River, where the migration crossings take place.

You travel in a private 4x4 with a pop-up photographic roof.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Early departure from Nairobi and a scenic drive across the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After settling in, head out on an afternoon game drive across the open plains in search of lion, elephant, buffalo and the reserve's famous big cats as the light softens towards sunset.

Day 2Full morning game drive and return to Nairobi

Set out at first light for the best game viewing of the trip, when predators are still active - and, in season, when the wildebeest herds gather along the Mara River. Return to camp for brunch, then begin the drive back across the Rift Valley, arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon.
